Maria has been photographing Vancouver’s Burlesque performers for the last decade. The series, “Burlesque Dress” was exhibited at the Rhodes and Mann gallery in London, England and was reviewed with photos published in London’s newspaper the Evening Standard and the Metro newspaper. Maria’s Burlesque photographs were also featured in Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper, Vice magazine and invited artist for CBC Radio3 webzine. This collection of portraits by Vancouver photographer Maria Coletsis shows an intimate view of the many faces of Burlesque, whether private moments behind the stage or live stage performances.
